My Sewing Room
Oh my gosh, my poor sewing room! I don't know when I'll see it again...it's going to storage. So sad.
OH my goodness!!!! All boxed up! That is kind of sad, but wont it be fun opening all those boxes again...just like Christmas! Take care, and take time for yourself too!
No fun :( But just think of how much fun it will be to unpack it all later on and some of it you will have forgotten about and it will seem like new again! Are you taking any handstitching projects along with you to keep yourself busy?
You have to take something with you. I took my machine and some fabric when I went to stay with my Dad. Eventually my whole sewing room ended up there. But you really need to bring something with you. It gives some normalsy to your life. Keeping you and yours in my thoughts and prayers.
Like Betty Lou said this is just temporary and also for a really good cause! On the positive just think how much fun you will have sorting and putting away all your fabric in your new sewing room when you get it. That will be the perfect chance to organised it just the way you want it. In the mean time hand sewing will keep you out of mischief and if you need more supplies, I am sure you can buy them or your bloggie friends will send them to you! I am always good for a care package or two!
I can't imagine just how sad it is for you. I'm "moved" out, well sort of anyway, while Richard paints the floor. It's driving me a little kooky and it's only about a two week span. Take heart and a few things with you. You'll probably be happy to have some fabrics and a small machine to play, especially when you're thinking of getting into little mischievous dealings. Let us know if you need a fat quarter or two. Heck, I might even stitch up a block for ya! :-)
I know how hard this is for you, but you are stronger than you think and the time spent with your parents will be a blessing to you. Hang in there and know your quilty friends are praying for you. {{{HUGS}}} Deborah
Aww LaDonna I am so sorry to see all your sewing stuff in boxes. Hopefully it will only be temporary. Just think when you open it again it will be like Christmas. Maybe you will find a few things you forgot about? Hugs donna
LaDonna - Such a sad picture! Hopefully you'll be reunited in the near future - altho it's hard for me to say that knowing what awaits you in Tennessee! It was good seeing you today - but it was sad, too, knowing y'all are leaving soon. Maybe Tony will get that job back here one day and you'll be back! If so - we'll be waiting for you! Have a safe trip.
Oh Boy, this looks sad...Hopefully you will be able to get you quilting 'fix' by reading about all you friends adventures, browsing quilt shops and indulging in beautiful magazines. Hugs from Tasmania

ReplyDeleteWow - look at how organized you are with your labelling! Hopefully that will make unpacking a little easier!
ReplyDeletePlease take care of yourself. I will be thinking about you and your family.
ReplyDeleteThis is just a little temporary detour, things will be back to normal soon. Take care. All the boxes will be there waiting for you. Hugs

ReplyDeleteI understand! When we moved, it was so hard to pack up such a big part of my life! You will find a way to do what you love, though.

ReplyDeleteSorry! That's tough seeing all of your sewing things boxed up. Maybe it won't be too long before you can slip in a bit of quilting now and then.
