A Martian Quilt?
Doesn't this picture of lava flow on Mars look like a quilt?! That was my first thought!
Hi LaDonna, You are so Right about Mars! I love your projects and thoughts. I am so happy Ruth suggested to you to drop by my blog! I LOVE Ruth! Did she tell you I lived by her for many years? Have you and Diana attended the quilt show in Houston, Texas? I know several women who have been and loved it. Also, this past year some of the women from a quilting circle in Guthrie, Oklahoma attended the quilt show in Paducah, Kentucky. I look forward to seeing more of your adventures and thoughts! Have a blessed evening! Wanda
Yes, I'm fully indoctrinated when my first thought is a well used whole cloth quilt with a random quilting pattern. I guess it's all about the context.
Tease !!!
ReplyDeleteSeriously? That's not an old antique quilt, all stained and loved to death!?!
ReplyDeleteYes. Looks like Mars to me :D

That's not a quilt? :)
ReplyDeleteI'd call that fabulous stippling and wish I could do so well myself.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a very old tea dyed quilt or maybe elephant skin (it would have to be a sick elephant, I guess, as it's the wrong color ;-)
ReplyDeleteIt does! Only a quilter would think of that!
ReplyDeleteI think I may be beginning to think like a "real quilter"...I thought it was a real quilt!!!
