Quilting used to be a practical, yet creative, hobby that only our grandmothers and great-grandmothers did. I can remember being told, "You're too young to quilt!" (Funny, I haven't heard that in a while!) My how times have changed! People of all ages are learning how to make a quilt. I'm so thankful for the next generation of quilters who are keeping our art alive and fresh! I love seeing the young faces at the shows and the talent among these quilters is amazing!
Recently I came across a new young blogger, Theresa at Confessions of a Craftaholic. She has decided to put her talents to a good cause. She is a young person who doesn't just want to talk about doing something, she is making it happen! Her enthusiasm and desire to "do something" is contagious! She wants to help comfort a child at the Children's Cancer Center in Houston, Texas with a quilt of love. Please head on over to her blog and check out her plans!

What a great idea! I think I will pass on participating since it's been a while since I've made a quilt for my local hospital. Thanks for the inspiration.
