First of all, I won! I won a book on a giveaway at Em Celebrates! I absolutely love Em and her blog! She is such a genuinely happy, positive, encouraging person! And her quilting is stunning!
I can't believe I didn't already have this book in my collection! I remember seeing Freddy Moran on Simply Quilts years ago. She has a no-nonsense approach to color and quilting that I love! Someday, when we get our forever house, I want to fill it with color...maybe not quite as full as Freddy's house, but I want to have wonderful colors all around!
Thanks, Em!

Congrats on winning the book. I love Freddy Moran and have taken a class with Gwen Marston. I'm with you .... I just adore Em. Like you we have gotten to be good friends. She encourages me to practice my FMQ. Which I need to do more practicing this week. Hugs

Congratulations! Nice book.
ReplyDeleteCute ice cream cone :) Lovely stitching.
Lucky you! I remember that Simply Quilts episode.
ReplyDeleteOh, fabulous that you won the book! I have it, and the one that precedes it, and they are both so inspiring. The Collaborate Again is the most wonderful! I have not stopped making blocks from this book YET -- I may never stop!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on winning the book. I saw Freddy do a trunk show as part of the Sisters of Oregon Quilt show years ago. I LOVE her quilts too. My husband still remembers me quoting her "Red is a neutral". And I am with you about colour in the house too! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness I have just checked out Em's Blog! Now you are talking!!! it is fabulous! Blogging eye candy!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! That looks like a fun book!!
ReplyDeleteLucky you! I will have to check out Em's blog too.
ReplyDeleteI got one of their books from the library and put it on my "wish" list for my birthday coming up. I really liked the liberated stars in teh book I read and look forward to making some. There was a wall quilt with chickens on it I want to make for my sister (she is a chicken farmer!).
